This policy explains what information Trend Trail Market collects when you visit trendtrailmarket.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is effective October 2, 2026.
Who we are and how to contact us
Trend Trail Market is a US consumer publication that reports on product and market trends. It earns commission through the Amazon Associates Program and carries advertising served by Google AdSense. For any question about this policy, or about the personal information we hold about you, email support@trendtrailmarket.com.
What we collect
We run our own first-party analytics. When you visit, we record the pages you view, the referring page and any campaign (UTM) parameters in the link that brought you, your approximate country (looked up from your IP address with a local DB-IP Lite database; the IP address itself is not stored), your device type, browser and operating system, how far you scroll and how long a page is visible, searches you run on the site, videos you play, shares, clicks on source links, and clicks on links to retailers.
To tell repeat visits apart without identifying you, we compute a pseudonymous visitor ID: a keyed hash of your IP address and browser user agent, using a key that is replaced every day. The same person cannot be followed from one day to the next. Raw visit records are kept for up to 395 days and then deleted; aggregated totals that do not identify a visit are kept longer.
If you sign up for the newsletter, we store the email address you give us and the page you signed up on. If you comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and IP address submitted with the comment. If you email us, we keep the correspondence to respond and to act on corrections.
Cookies and browser storage
- ttm_src: a first-party cookie, kept for 30 days, recording the source, medium and campaign that first brought you here, so we can see which channels lead to retailer clicks.
- tt-v (local storage): marks you as a returning visitor.
- tt-theme (local storage): remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.
- tt-seen-… (session storage): stops a page view being counted twice in the same browser session. Cleared when you close the tab.
- WordPress comment cookies: if you comment, standard WordPress cookies may remember your name and email for next time.
- Google AdSense serves the advertising on this site and sets its own cookies, including
__gadsand__gpi, and cookies fromdoubleclick.net. They are used to serve the ads, to limit how often you see the same one, to measure clicks and, unless you opt out, to choose ads based on your earlier browsing. - Google Analytics and Google Ads, which are measurement and campaign tools separate from AdSense, are not active on this site today. If we turn them on, they will set cookies such as
_gaand_gcl_*, and this policy will be updated first.
Third parties
Amazon. Trend Trail Market is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon and other third parties may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from you, and place or recognize cookies on your browser. Amazon’s use of that information is governed by Amazon’s privacy notice.
Google AdSense. Google serves the advertising on this site. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technology to deliver and measure those ads, and may use your earlier visits to this and other sites to decide which ads to show you. We do not pass Google your email address, your comments or anything else you send us, and we have no say in which ads appear. You can switch personalised advertising off for your Google account at My Ad Center, opt out of other participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info, and read how Google uses the data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
YouTube. Some reports embed YouTube videos using the privacy-enhanced player at youtube-nocookie.com. No player loads and no connection to the player is made until you press play. The preview image shown before that is loaded from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com).
Gravatar. Comment avatars may be loaded from Gravatar, a service operated by Automattic.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes traffic data as our hosting provider.
How we use this information
To measure readership and see which reports and channels work, to see in aggregate which retailer links are clicked, to send the newsletter to people who ask for it, and to moderate comments and handle correction requests. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
- Global Privacy Control. When your browser sends a GPC signal, we do not record your visit or your clicks, and we ask Google to serve non-personalised ads.
- Personalised ads. You can turn personalisation off at any time in Google’s My Ad Center. Ads still appear; they stop being chosen from your browsing history.
- Cookies and storage. You can block or clear them in your browser. The site works without them.
- Newsletter. Every issue we send will carry an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us by email to remove you.
- Access, correction and deletion. Email support@trendtrailmarket.com.

Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (an email address if you subscribe or comment; a pseudonymous daily visitor ID), internet activity (pages viewed, referrer, clicks, searches), approximate country, and device and browser information. We share information only with the service providers named above. We do not sell personal information. Serving personalised advertising through Google AdSense does count as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law: to opt out, send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor as described above, or turn personalisation off in Google’s My Ad Center.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We will note any material change on this page with a new effective date. This version is effective October 2, 2026.
